How to Calculate a Tip
To calculate a tip, multiply the bill amount by the tip percentage (expressed as a decimal). For example, a 20% tip on a $50 bill is $50 × 0.20 = $10. Add the tip to the original bill to get the total: $50 + $10 = $60.
Standard Tip Percentages
